Culture

The word Chai translates to "Tea" and the word Masala is a more general term for a mix of spices. Traditional Indian Chai is prepared with bold black tea leaves and milk and a touch of sweetness. Masala Chai has evolved and traveled over the years to become a sweet and spiced tea latte you find now in almost all coffee houses around the US and now even around the world.  None the less many of them still use blends and mixed that are heavy on the sugar and cinnamon and little to no tea. Unlike this "Chai Tea" drinks ours is prepared with pure organic whole leaf teas and a blend of balances organic spices.


About US: 
All off our products have deep roots from my culture enhanced by my mother’s love and mastery of cooking ingrained in my daily practice to the care that goes into all of our products. Learned and life knowledge from multiple disciplines has strengthened my innate senses to balance herbs, teas and spices into our products teaching and sharing the abundance of wellness from plants.



Chai


When Sesa first started to make and share products there was no intention to offer pure tea let along chai. Yet as we shared our herbal blends and visited coffee spaces, over again we found ourselves disappointment with the options and what was being served. Out of the wish to educate and share what chai should be we started to experiment with recipes in larger than one pot batches! After years of perfecting the process we arrived at a happy balance of tea, spices and just the lightest amount of sweetness to make what we call a happy chai moment!

A good cup of chai is a much more than a cup of tea or a drink, its more of a poem - an ode to the culture and cuisine from it's birthplace of India. It infuses a blend of invigorating and calming effects and best of all a smile!

Our Chai Offerings

The spiced Indian classic beverage is offered in both dry and brewed packaging.

Our dry blends are available in a few varieties including our classic Masala Chai as well as seasonal and special order options such as Ginger and Turmeric.

Our slow nano brewed batches and currently offer our classic lightly sweetened Masala Chai year round. Other varieties such as our Ginger, Golden, Espresso, Matcha and Herbal Turmeric brews are available on request. We offer both the dry leaves & a slow-brewed concentrate year round for wholesale and retail.
