The Best Affogato Recipe Ever

Espresso meets Ice Cream

Forget coffee-flavored ice cream, try this super easy recipe for the best Affogato you'll ever eat and you'll never buy a pint of the flavored stuff again. Espresso is a delicious indulgence on its own and a great pick-me-up, but have you ever thought about combining espresso with ice cream?! 

Ingredients

• 2 shots of espresso
• 1 cup of Vanilla Ice Cream

Instructions

1. Brew up two shots of espresso (only use one if you want it light), that's about 2 ounces of extra strong coffee.
2. If you don't have an espresso machine, you can use your regular drip coffee-maker and brew a small triple-strength pot of coffee.* Be sure to pack the coffee tightly in the filter so that it takes the water longer to seep through the coffee grounds. This ensures an appropriately strong and bold brew. 
3. Scoop ice cream into a small heat-safe bowl or cup
4. Allow espresso to cool slightly and then pour gently over the ice cream
5. Stir it together or keep it separate, but either way - ENJOY!

​*What's left over you can save in the fridge and dilute for yummy iced coffee, or add it to a smoothie with bananas and protein powder for an extra boost in the morning!
