Tips, Tricks & Tales from the SESA Beverage Lab
If you're anything like us here at Sesa Pure, you love tea. That being said, during the dark winter months when caffeine is necessary just to get to work, it can be hard to kick the coffee habit.
We're here to help & want to offer 4 reasons to add "Drink More Tea" to your New Year's Resolutions. 1. There's still caffeine!
Depending on the type of tea you select, many varieties will still contain some caffeine, so you don't have to kick your caffeine addiction entirely in order to enjoy a good cup of tea!
On the upside, the average cup of black tea contains much less caffeine (about 47mg) than one cup of coffee, which contains about 95mg. Plus, black tea comes in a variety of blends and styles from a subtle, floral Darjeeling to a spicy & bold Chai, you can get a world of variety in one cup! 2. Antioxidants
Tea contains a boatload of antioxidants which are helpful for fighting off free-radicals & for boosting your overall health & wellness. All tea contains flavonoids which are great inflammation busters & benefit the immune system in general! We know inflammation is a root factor in all kinds of disease, so using tea as an aspect of your healthy anti-inflammatory diet can go a long way in moving you towards wellness.
3. Boost Your Immune System
Certain herbal teas have been used for centuries to ward off anything from the common cold to cancer & with good reason. Modern science is beginning to support the efficacy of these home remedies. Echinacea, mint, & eucalyptus are all often used to ward off the common cold. Our revive tea contains a powerful blend of immune-boosting ingredients perfect for a cold evening.
4. Weight Loss
Struggling to get rid of those extra Christmas cookies? Tea can help!
Green tea has been used as an agent for weight loss for years. & for good reason! Not only will the antioxidants in green tea help prevent clogged arteries, a cup of tea contains zero calories, so it's a perfect replacement for sugary sodas to help you reach your weight loss goals. Moreover, tea contains flavonoids (& caffeine) which can help boost metabolic rate & stabilize insulin activity.
So there you have it! Our top 4 reasons drinking more tea should definitely be on your list of New Year's Resolutions! And while you're at it, why not try Sesa Pure teas handcrafted in Austin & blended for health and wellness!

Tea!!! I also love both but I couldn’t live without tea. I try to stay away from caffeine so that makes my options slightly more limited, and tea has so many more choices for decaf than coffee does (I also prefer iced coffee over hot). Teavana teas are my favorite. I love anything fruity, decaf green tea, and lemon black tea. There are very few teas that I dislike other than chai!
